Awards September 23, 2013 The Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes 2013 celebrates inspiring, public-spirited, highly diverse young people from all across America. Each year the Barron Prize honors young leaders 8 to 18 who have made a significant positive difference to people and our planet. Winners receive a $5,000 cash award to support their service work or higher education. Teagan chose to have the money go to Shred Kids Cancer! May 6, 2013 Prudential Spirit of The Community Awardsa nation wide program honoring youth for outstanding acts of volunteerism names Teagan Stedman as National Honoree for 2013. The largest of its kind in the United States, it was created in 1955; a partnership between Prudential and the National Association of Secondary School Principles. It's purpose is to recognize and honor middle and high school students for their achievements in voluntary community service at the local, state and national level. These students inspire others to participate in volunteering. The program had 26,000 applicants nominated by school principals and Teagan was one of 5 awarded the National Award for Middle School level.
February 27, 2013 Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center selected Teagan Stedman as a part ofthe one hundred- 100 individuals and groups whose diligence and discoveries, philanthropy and passion have helped advance the fight against cancer.
September 2012 SKC Chairman Teagan Stedman was chosen as anAsk Listen Learn Superstar. for his work with Shred Kids' Cancer. Teagan joins 16 other A.L.L Superstars Apolo Anton Ohno, Tyson Gay and other inspirational people like paralympians, professional athletes and community activists.
